In this episode we meet with Product Owner Edwin Wopereis. Edwin is responsible for the Kramp Webshop. Kramp is a technical wholesaler and one-stop supplier of spare parts, technical services and business solutions to more than 40.000 dealers worldwide of agricultural machines, forest & grasscare machines, construction machines and in the OEM and MRO industry. Edwin works with multiple developments teams – located in the Netherlands & India – leading to interesting collaboration challenges. In 2017 he won the Product Owner of the Year award (2017) and shares his experience and lessons learned on collaboration with Development Teams and Stakeholders. Edwin stresses the importance of building trust and how to prevent becoming a bottleneck. We also discuss the importance of learning and experimentation. To round off we share three things Edwin learned a lot from: his favourite product, his favorite part of the Scrum Guide and an important book for Product Owners.

Want to learn more? Edwin shares a practical tool for Product Owners in the P.O. Perspective: focus video. In this short, practical video, he shares his experience with the Validated Learning board to track and validate larger initiatives. He uses the board to help the team track and validate beyond the Sprint Review and Inspect the actual outcomes. The board also helps challenge himself and stakeholders before starting development, to discuss how to know when you’re done. [Focus video will be released soon!]
